Starting the Conversation aims to empower significant individuals in a person's life to effectively bring up the risks and concerns surrounding their involvement in extremist or anti-social behaviors.
Whether you are a parent, caregiver, partner, or friend of someone who is at risk, Starting the Conversation provides individuals with organised conversation guides, resources, tip sheets, as well as information about available support to help everyone feel confident and ready to engage in these crucial discussions.
Offers education and assistance for families and partners of individuals at risk, aiming to empower them in facilitating disengagement from extremism or anti-social behaviour. Emphasizes not only providing referral resources for these individuals to pursue their own assistance but also ensuring their safety throughout the process.
ReRoute Australia is collaborating with leading sports organisations in Victoria to develop a program that leverages the current sports culture to foster integration and acceptance of diverse cultures and ideologies.
Additionally, this program includes an educational and training component where local sports groups will receive training on identifying concerning behaviors in their members who may be at risk of extremism or engaging in anti-social activities.
A program designed with a perspective to assist partners of at-risk individuals, helping them to potentially disengage from indirect involvement with extremism or anti-social conduct.
Our program recognises the impact of consuming anti-women content and violent pornography during the process of radicalization or anti-social behaviour and acknowledging how this may be weaponised against the partners. The approach includes proactive programs in addition to collaboration with existing community service support services.
Referrals for Proactive Programs can be completed through direct contact with ReRoute Australia via either telephone or email enquiries on details listed at the bottom of this page. ReRoute Australia also accepts referrals through a third-party contact from existing support or intervention programs.
